Dr. Maddi Sridhar Reddy did his M.Sc. from Osmania University and completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad under the supervision of Dr. J. S. Yadav. In 2007, he joined the group of Prof. Pierre Deslongchamps at The University of Sherbrooke, Canada as a postdoctoral researcher. After returning from Canada, he joined in CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow as a Senior Scientist in December 2010 to pursue his own independent research career. He later on moved to CSIR-IICT as a Principal Scientist in to the Organic Synthesis & Process Chemistry Department. Now currently working as Senior Principal Scientist. His research aimed at the discovery of novel reactions through pi electrons activation using alkynophilic catalysts, and use those methods to explore unearthed chemical space towards novel bioactive molecules of therapeutic interest.
